Scenes from when the New Town was fairly new.
Autumn
Haymaking was an event which took place until the late 1970s only a stone’s throw from the Marlowes centre, on the parkland at Turners Hill.
Winter
The old fountain frozen out of the plan updating Bank Court.
A cold snap taken from the top of the Spiral Multi-story Car Park which preceded the Riverside shopping centre.
Spring
Hanging over the same guard-rail of the spiral multi-story a few month later ...
Summer
An ‘Icelandic’ view across the car park adjacent to Hillfield Road towards the old Marlowes garage and the then proposed superstore site.
